Metalfer Group participated as a partner in the 95th IREPAS conference, held from September 27 to 29 in Belgrade. The event brought together representatives of the international steel industry, including manufacturers, traders, suppliers of raw materials and other participants in the market of long steel products.
As part of the conference program, the president of Metalfer Group, Branko Zečević, participated as one of the speakers in the session dedicated to the key changes shaping the global long steel products market.
During the presentation, he presented the position of the Balkan and Southeast European markets in the context of current changes in world steel trade, with special reference to the growth of protectionism, import pressure on regional producers, changes in the European system of import quotas and the impact of the Mechanism for Cross-Border Carbon Adjustment on the competitiveness of the industry.
Holding the conference in Belgrade was of particular importance for the Metalfer Group, providing additional space for exchange with representatives of the international industry and discussions on topics shaping the future of the steel market.
