The steelmaking process generates a by-product known as “slag”. When reprocessed, the slag becomes a high-quality aggregate with physical and mechanical characteristics that surpass traditional aggregate. Our Metalfer® Aggregate is a unique fusion of micro- and macro-roughness that improves road grip. This results in the creation of a pavement with exceptional adhesion, sound absorption and water drainage capabilities.
Apart from its superior features, Metalfer® Aggregate symbolizes Metalfer’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
